Happy Friday! Well, for some of us this coupe of weeks is the happiest time is the year because we love college football and the bowl games are nearly non-stop. Some of us hate it and others didn’t even realize there was such a thing as bowl games. I love watching all the out of conference games and seeing how they match up. My team didn’t do so well, but there’s always next year.

We all have those things we love—the things we get all caught up in. For some of us it’s cars, for some it’s antiques, for some it’s shoes, or jewelry or politics or cows or kids or whatever, but we all have something. Something with which we need to monitor ourselves closely and not let it overcome our relationship and our time with the Lord. Because the things of this world, including relationships with people here, can. The here and now, in our face can over take the spiritual if we aren’t careful.

“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:25-26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father of heaven and earth, teach us to always put our time with you and our relationship with you before everything and before everyone. Help us to remember you are first in our lives and everything else must come second, including ourselves. You are our God and we worship you this day. Teach us Lord when we fail you and help us to learn from our mistakes. We want to serve you and grow in our walk with you this year. We praise you and lift you high! Hallelujah for the Lamb has overcome. Amen and amen.

Love you dear one,

Pam
