January 22–Time With God

Happy Tuesday. I hope you had a good Monday. I sure did. Eight year old Ozzie and I spent the day together. We went to the mall to walk (we got in a mile) then we had lunch, and we still had time to get to the theater to see a movie! We had quite the day. I love spending one-on-one time with him.

And if I being just a person loves that kind of relationship, how much more does the God who loves us more than human hearts could ever fathom enjoy spending time with us? He loves to hear from us and to commune with us. He inhabits our praise—lives right in the middle of it!

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:38-39‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If we have entered I to a covenant with God, if we have asked Him to forgive our sins and come in to our lives, He has likewise entered into a covenant with us. We are His forever. Nothing in this world, not even the devil himself, can separate us. It’s as though He signed a legal agreement with His blood. He wants to be the air we breath and be closer to us than our skin.

God of Heaven, we ask You to forgive us when we fail to spend time with You, when we put the things of this world in front of You and we just don’t take the time to pray. Help us Lord to be better communicators with You, because we know communication is key to a close relationship. We worship at your feet. We know You want to live in the midst of our praise and we freely offer our sacrifice of praise to You today. Teach us to love You more fully and to yield more completely to your Spirit. We worship You Father and thank you for Your great grace and mercy. You are a good, good Father. Amen and amen.

Love you dear one,

Pam
