December 21-Speak in Love

Happy Friday! Are you ready for. Christmas? I’m not quite finished but I was out shopping yesterday and while I was, I saw this sign.

“Speak in such a way that others will listen to you. Listen in such a way that others will want to speak to you.”

So much of the time we overly concern ourselves with what to say when maybe we should take a little more care of how we say it. Kind words spoken in love leads to a listening heart. In direct opposition, so many of the news commentators just yell over the top of whoever disagrees with them. Not a hint of listening and screaming doesn’t make anyone want to hear you.

As a Christian, we must speak words of life and truth in love. How can they know if they don’t listen, and why will they want to listen if we are harsh and so uncaring that we don’t listen to them?

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”...Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”  ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:14-15, 17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

How beautiful are the feet...arguing and unkind words do not make beautiful feet! ‬Faith comes from hearing and for our family and friends who don’t know Jesus, we must speak in such a way that they will want to listen, especially during the Christmas season.

Dear Lord we pray for wisdom to know what and how to speak words about you. Give us boldness with meekness as we try to speak your truths in love to this lost and dying world. You are the Alpha and the Omega and we want to share what a wonderful Savior you are! Praise you Jehovah, our rock, our defender, and our protector. Thank you for Your great grace and for providing the way that we might be saved. You are the great God and we worship you this day. Amen and amen

Love you dear friend,

Pam
