Happy Monday--Looking for Knowledge

Happy Monday! Are you ready to start the week? Did you have a really good day yesterday worshipping the Lord? We attended three servicesv and heard some really good messages. (I jokingly told Patti Beth we could get some work done for Jesus if we didn't have to go to so many church services.) Then, after church last night, we came home and got into a fairly in-depth theological discussion and ended up reading the book of Revelations to answer some of our questions. We were truly seeking knowledge.

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to be completely knowledgeable? Just have it all at your fingertips? And not just the facts, but the discernment and the wisdom to accompany all the knowledge? Just. Like. God.

He is El Deah. The God of knowledge. When we think about His omniscience, the fact He knows everything, we realize that He is the Keeper of infinite library so to speak. The giant memory bank with every scrap and bit of information that ever existed...God has it all retained and recalls it instantly. El Deah is the God of all knowledge.

“Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom? It’s way over our heads. We’ll never figure it out. Is there anyone around who can explain God? Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do? Anyone who has done him such a huge favor that God has to ask his advice? Everything comes from him; Everything happens through him; Everything ends up in him. Always glory! Always praise! Yes. Yes. Yes.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭11:33-36‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I love that one part that says " anyone smart enough to tell Him what to do?" Bob used to say "Did it ever occur to you that nothing ever occurred to God?" Noting ever took Him by surprise--not a bee landing on a flower or a world war--and nothing ever will. He knew when time began that you would be saved. I have no clue how He does it. I don't know how He built the stars either, but I know He did.

El Deah inhabits all of eternity. God sees the beginning and He sees the middle and guess what...He sees the end. And here's the kicker, He is seeing it all at one time. He doesn't have to fast forward the DVD to get to the next part; He can see every part instantaneously. Wrap your brain around that one--all of time that has ever been and all of time that will ever be all at once. God is the God of knowledge. He is El Deah.

Today, make it a point to seek knowledge about our Lord and will you give praise with me to the God of knowledge? Praise El Deah.

Love you dear one,

Pam
